Last week I drove throughout the country with my smartphone filming and editing workshops and smartphone photography and editing. These workshops were offered to all municipalities and government organizations by the A + O fund during their national action week in which the A + O fund pays attention to craftsmanship, personal development and mobility.
I gave the workshops in the most diverse places in the Netherlands. From Heerlen in the south of the country to Beetsterzwaag in the north. For me a big challenge not only in time and organization but also in setting up a tight program.
For these workshops I had to reduce my regular one-day workshops Filming and Editing with the smartphone, Smartphone Photography and Editing to 2.5 hours without sacrificing too much quality. I didn't want my workshops to be just a teaser for our regular one-day workshops.
Given the quality of the end products and the many enthusiastic reactions from participants on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, we succeeded. Many participants had registered for both workshops.
In the 2.5-hour workshop controlling with images – filming with a smartphone, the participants learned not only everything about smartphone technology and the technology of filming (framing, camera movements and camera angles, lighting and sound, but also about concept development and even about assembly In between an exercise and at the end a final assignment.
In the 2.5-hour workshop on photographing and editing photos with the smartphone, the participants learned everything about the photography technique of the smartphone, photographing technique and editing the photos using the Snapseed app.
